The North Harris Trust is governed by a board of thirteen volunteer Directors who are elected to represent defined township areas.  The board of Directors appoint the Chair, Vice-Chair, sub-committee representatives and North Harris Trading Company representatives on an annual basis.

Sub-committees are established to support staff to deliver in specific areas.  They can also provide an informed board opinion on certain matters, however all decisions are escalated to the full board if necessary.  There are currently three sub-committees dealing with Housing Development, Economic Opportunity and Estate Management.
