North Harris Eagle Observatory once again features in the press!
The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) has published an news article about the 2013 Leader event that took place in the Western Isles this year. A number of individuals from throughout Europe met to discuss nature tourism. As part of their visit, they saw the Leader-funded North Harris Eagle Observatory.

What stuck with me was the detail about delegates coming from all over Europe just to see how Leader funding translated into a viewing site, because that exchange of practical ideas between regions is where the real value sits. It also makes me wonder how many similar projects never get written up simply because nobody thinks to share the numbers behind them, the same way casino comparison sites live or die on how transparent their payout data is.
