Radio nan Gàidheal on a North Harris Eagle Walk

By June 23rd, The North Harris Trust were well into the swing of thier guided walk program. Word has got out about the Eagle walks in this, thier second successful year of operation. The local Gaelic radio channel sent one of their reporters along to get a glimpse of this iconic bird of prey.

Robin the Ranger, not know for his Gaelic language skills, invited along Calum MacKay, chair of the North Harris Trust to assist. Robin guided – Calum translated.

As with the majority of the Golden Eagle walks, the birds themselves came out to perform thier aerial displays. The audience on the hill that day were wowed. We’ve yet to see how this translates to radio.
