On Monday 11/7, Katie and Charlie from WDC visited us here to provide Shorewatch training and to check out a new Shorewatch site that I was proposing.
After training we visited the new site at Eileen Glas lighthouse, Scalpay to see it it was suitable for Shorewatching and before we even reached the lighthouse we had seen Porpoises and Minke whales!
So Eileen Glas will become the new Shorewatch site, It is fantastic with a great abundance of cetacean species seen regularly! We hope to rival Truimpan head for amount of sightings all we need is a few more people to help on watches.
