Whale & Dolphin Guided Walk @ Outend Car Oarpark
May 4 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Meet: 10am Outend Carpark, Isle of Scalpay (NG 233 951) Distance: 2.7 miles / 4.3 km

Eilean Glas lighthouse is one of the best places in Scotland to observe a wide range of whale and dolphin species from the shore. These amazing animals are abundant during the summer and as long as the sea state isn’t too rough, sightings are very likely. This is an easy walk to the lighthouse on mostly well surfaced paths. The walk also offers good opportunities to observe sea eagles, otters and seals.

Explore the establishing woodland at Aird a’ Mhulaidh. Learn to identify the different species that are native to the island and appreciate the developing Harris habitats from our new observatory in the trees.

Golden Eagle Walk @ Bogha Glas Car Park

The famous North Harris Eagle Walk. The North Harris Hills support one of the highest densities of golden eagles in Europe and the open landscape affords superb opportunities for viewing this iconic predator. We record a 95% sighting success rate. This walk is run in partnership with RSPB Scotland. 

£10 for adults, Half price for children, RSPB and North Harris Trust members.
