Come and join us at one of our Community Consultation Meetings across the Estate in December. This is an opportunity to find out more about the work we are currently engaged in and to help us form plans for the future. Meet: 10am Outend Carpark, Isle of Scalpay (NG 233 951) Distance: 2.7 miles / 4.3 km
Eilean Glas lighthouse is one of the best places in Scotland to observe a wide range of whale and dolphin species from the shore. These amazing animals are abundant during the summer and as long as the sea state isn’t too rough, sightings are very likely. This is an easy walk to the lighthouse on mostly well surfaced paths. The walk also offers good opportunities to observe sea eagles, otters and seals.
Meet: Ardvourlie Carpark (NB 187105) Distance: 2 miles / 3.2 km
Explore the establishing woodland at Aird a’ Mhulaidh. Learn to identify the different species that are native to the island and appreciate the developing Harris habitats from our new observatory in the trees.
Please see visit the festival website at www.iohmf.co.uk for more information.
