The population of Harris fell by 50% between 1951 and 2001 from 3991 to 1984 people.  If this trend is allowed to continue the viability of the local community will inevitably come into question. The Trust is therefore working along with other community and statutory organisations to reverse this trend. As well as the need to create employment there is a strong need to create new housing to cater for those who wish to live and work here. The Trust also supports other community groups and individuals who have ideas that will contribute to strengthening the community. The other pages provide more information on some of these activities.
