In the last few days, huge numbers of thrushes have appeared on the hills and roadsides. These are mainly Redwing but include Fieldfares and Blackbirds. These thrushes have been on their annual migration from Iceland towards Southern and Western Britain. After encountering some poor weather over the last couple of days, large numbers of thrushes have come to the ground to seek shelter .

- 8th July, Reinigeadal: Turtle Dove
- 5th July, Strond: A Dog Otter is being seen on a daily basis
- 1st July, Loch Diracleit: A Pair Red-throated Divers is regularly beeing seen near to roadside
